Seven Golden Candlesticks

They made a candlestick with seven lamps out of pure gold, pure gold represents the character of God or His Truth.  The oil that lights the lamps represents the understanding of the word of God.  The seven golden candlesticks represents the seven churches or all of the churches of Christ, seven being the number of completion.

Jesus also holds the seven spirits of God.  Seven Spirits of God:

1.         Spirit of the Lord

2.         Spirit of Wisdom

3.         Spirit of Understanding

4.         Spirit of Counsel

5.         Spirit of Might

6.         Spirit of Knowledge

7.         Fear of the Lord

A word fitly spoken; the gold represents truth and the silver represents timing, the truth at the right time.  Vessels of gold and silver are the ones who are full of truth and wisdom.  Christ tells us to buy His Truth that has been refined and pure of human error.  The glory of God is being revealed in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. This is pure gold!

The foundation principles of Christ, that we need to understand His gospel.

1.         Repentance from dead works

2.         Faith toward God

3.         Baptisms

4.         Laying on of Hands

5.         Resurrection of the Dead

6.         Eternal Judgement

The understanding of these teachings is the oil that lights the lamps.

The five wise virgins had already learned the foundation principles, they bought the oil.  The full gospel is profound, it takes time and effort to understand.  Take heed who you listen to in this world.  Are they teaching the foundation principles of Christ?

Exo 25:31-37 RV

(31)  And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made, even its base, and its shaft; its cups, its knops, and its flowers, shall be of one piece with it:

(32)  and there shall be six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof:

(33)  three cups made like almond-blossoms in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three cups made like almond-blossoms in the other branch, a knop and a flower: so for the six branches going out of the candlestick:

(34)  and in the candlestick four cups made like almond-blossoms, the knops thereof, and the flowers thereof:

(35)  and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of the candlestick.

(36)  Their knops and their branches shall be of one piece with it: the whole of it one beaten work of pure gold.

(37)  And thou shalt make the lamps thereof, seven: and they shall light the lamps thereof, to give light over against it.

They made a candlestick with seven lamps out of pure gold, pure gold represents the character of God or His Truth.

Exo 35:14 RV  the candlestick also for the light, and its vessels, and its lamps, and the oil for the light;

The oil that lights the lamps represents the understanding of the word of God.

Rev 1:12-20 RV  And I turned to see the voice which spake with me. And having turned I saw seven golden candlesticks;  (13)  and in the midst of the candlesticks one like unto a son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about at the breasts with a golden girdle.  (14)  And his head and his hair were white as white wool, white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;  (15)  and his feet like unto burnished brass, as if it had been refined in a furnace; and his voice as the voice of many waters.  (16)  And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.  (17)  And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as one dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; I am the first and the last,  (18)  and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.  (19)  Write therefore the things which thou sawest, and the things which are, and the things which shall come to pass hereafter;  (20)  the mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks are seven churches.

Rev 2:1 RV  To the angel of the church in Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, he that walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks:

The seven golden candlesticks represents the seven churches or all of the churches of Christ, seven being the number of completion.

Rev 3:1 RV  And to the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars: I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and thou art dead.

Jesus also holds the seven spirits of God.

Isa 11:1-4 RV  And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots shall bear fruit:  (2)  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;  (3)  And his delight shall be in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:  (4)  but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

Seven Spirits of God:

Pro 25:11 RV  A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in baskets of silver.

A word fitly spoken; the gold represents truth and the silver represents timing, the truth at the right time

2Ti 2:19-21 RV  Howbeit the firm foundation of God standeth, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his: and, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.  (20)  Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some unto honour, and some unto dishonour.  (21)  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, meet for the master’s use, prepared unto every good work.

Vessels of gold and silver are the ones who are full of truth and wisdom.

Rev 3:14-19 RV  And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:  (15)  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  (16)  So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth.  (17)  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art the wretched one and miserable and poor and blind and naked:  (18)  I counsel thee to buy of me gold refined by fire, that thou mayest become rich; and white garments, that thou mayest clothe thyself, and that the shame of thy nakedness be not made manifest; and eyesalve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see.  (19)  As many as I love, I reprove and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Christ tells us to buy His Truth that has been refined and pure of human error.

2Co 4:4-6 RV  in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them.  (5)  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.  (6)  Seeing it is God, that said, Light shall shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The glory of God is being revealed in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. This is pure gold!

Heb 6:1-3 RV  Wherefore let us cease to speak of the first principles of Christ, and press on unto perfection; not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,  (2)  of the teaching of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.  (3)  And this will we do, if God permit.

The foundation principles of Christ, that we need to understand His gospel.

The understanding of these teachings is the oil that lights the lamps.

Mat 25:1-13 RV  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  (2)  And five of them were foolish, and five were wise.  (3)  For the foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them:  (4)  but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  (5)  Now while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.  (6)  But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him.  (7)  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.  (8)  And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out.  (9)  But the wise answered, saying, Peradventure there will not be enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.  (10)  And while they went away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut.  (11)  Afterward come also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.  (12)  But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.  (13)  Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour.

The five wise virgins had already learned the foundation principles, they bought the oil.  The full gospel is profound, it takes time and effort to understand.

Luk 8:10-18 RV  And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.  (11)  Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.  (12)  And those by the way side are they that have heard; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.  (13)  And those on the rock are they which, when they have heard, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.  (14)  And that which fell among the thorns, these are they that have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.  (15)  And that in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it fast, and bring forth fruit with patience.  (16)  And no man, when he hath lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but putteth it on a stand, that they which enter in may see the light.  (17)  For nothing is hid, that shall not be made manifest; nor anything secret, that shall not be known and come to light.  (18)  Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath.

Take heed who you listen to in this world.  Are they teaching the foundation principles of Christ?
