Secret Place

When we fear and trust the Lord, He hides us in His presence.  Our community, the kingdom of the heavens, is called heaven for God dwells in us.  We can draw closer to God.   His power strengthens our inward man.  He gives us all we need to partake of the divine nature.  Thunder is a gospel message; the secret place of thunder is God talking directly to our inward man.  When we keep our mind on the Lord, he gives us perfect peace.  When we keep the Lord before us, His presence brings us the fulness of joy.

We have both a mind of flesh and the mind of the Spirit; we can walk by the flesh or by the Spirit.  When we walk by the Spirit, He gives us life and peace.  When we love the Lord and keep His commands both Father and Son will come to dwell in our hearts.  We believe on the Lord and know Him through the words of His disciples.    Christ lives in our hearts and gives us righteousness through our faith.

Psa 31:19-20 YLT

(19)  How abundant is Thy goodness, That Thou hast laid up for those fearing Thee,

(20)  Thou hast wrought for those trusting in Thee, Before sons of men. Thou hidest them in the secret place of Thy presence, From artifices of man, Thou concealest them in a tabernacle, From the strife of tongues.

When we fear and trust the Lord, He hides us in His presence.

Php 3:20-21 YLT

Richard has once again, stirred my thinking on the word of God and brought to remembrance verses and thoughts that tie in with the subject of “Secret Places”.
Being in a secret place with God is where the believer longs to be. It is there where the worship is pure and no man can enter, only those chosen of God to minister unto Him.
“To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us KINGS AND PRIESTS TO HIS GOD AND FATHER, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever, Amen.” (Rev. 1:6)
If we have the Spirit of our Father dwelling within us, then we are indeed made kings and priests and are able to minister unto Him.
“O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret places of the cliffs (stairs), Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely.” (Song 2:14)
Within the walls of Solomon’s temple were steps. The walls were very broad and the steps within them made a spiral toward the Holy place. Off to the side of some of the steps was a hidden chamber where the priests would hide their garments and worshiping utensils. As they ascended the steps they would enter into the chambers gathering the items needed to worship.
What a beautiful picture of how as we climb higher, drawing closer to the Lord, our garments are changed and we acquire the tools (fruits of the Spirit) needed to make ourselves ready to enter in behind the veil of the place most Holy.
