Singleness of Heart

When we seek the Lord, if we do it with all our heart and soul we will find Him and He will give us more of Him.  When we seek the Lord and love His name, our hearts live and we come to dwell in Zion, spiritual Jerusalem.  We long for the Lord, our hearts and flesh cry out to Yahweh as we walk that hidden highway back to Zion.

When we turn unto the Lord and seek Him with our whole heart we will find Him.  For He gives us a heart to know Him.  He wants to dwell with us and be our God.  We have a single eye when we focus on the Lord and His kingdom which gives us singleness of heart.

The saints of the early church were united in one accord, their hearts were single and united in Christ.  We control our thoughts and imaginations to captivate every thought into obedience to God.  When we cast all our cares upon Him His peace fills our soul and guards our hearts and thoughts.

It is the Lord we serve, everything you do, do unto Him.  His word fills us richly in all wisdom so that we may teach and admonish one another, praising God and singing our joy and thanksgiving unto Him.

Deu 4:29 RV  But if from thence ye shall seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou search after him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

When we seek the Lord, if we do it with all our heart and soul we will find Him and He will give us more of Him.

Psa 69:29-36 RV  But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.  (30)  I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.  (31)  And it shall please the LORD better than an ox, or a bullock that hath horns and hoofs.  (32)  The meek have seen it, and are glad: ye that seek after God, let your heart live.  (33)  For the LORD heareth the needy, and despiseth not his prisoners.  (34)  Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.  (35)  For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah; and they shall abide there, and have it in possession.  (36)  The seed also of his servants shall inherit it; and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

When we seek the Lord and love His name, our hearts live and we come to dwell in Zion, spiritual Jerusalem.

Psa 84:1-5 RV   How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!  (2)  My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out unto the living God.  (3)  Yea, the sparrow hath found her an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.  (4)  Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah  (5)  Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the highways to Zion.

We long for the Lord, our hearts and flesh cry out to Yahweh as we walk that hidden highway back to Zion.

Jer 24:6-7 RV  For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.  (7)  And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

When we turn unto the Lord and seek Him with our whole heart we will find Him.  For He gives us a heart to know Him.  He wants to dwell with us and be our God.

Mat 6:22-24 RV  The lamp of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.  (23)  But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is the darkness!  (24)  No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

We have a single eye when we focus on the Lord and His kingdom which gives us singleness of heart.

Luk 11:34-36 RV  The lamp of thy body is thine eye: when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when it is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.  (35)  Look therefore whether the light that is in thee be not darkness.  (36)  If therefore thy whole body be full of light, having no part dark, it shall be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining doth give thee light.

Christ is our light and the knowledge of Him illuminates our soul, let His light fill you fully.

Act 2:46-47 RV  And day by day, continuing stedfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they did take their food with gladness and singleness of heart,  (47)  praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to them day by day those that were being saved.

The saints of the early church were united in one accord, their hearts were single and united in Christ.

2Co 10:5 RV  casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;

We control our thoughts and imaginations to captivate every thought into obedience to God.

Php 4:6-7 RV  In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  (7)  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

When we cast all our cares upon Him His peace fills our soul and guards our hearts and thoughts.

Col 3:23-24 RV  whatsoever ye do, work heartily, as unto the Lord, and not unto men;  (24)  knowing that from the Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance: ye serve the Lord Christ.

It is the Lord we serve, everything you do, do unto Him.

Col 3:14-17 RV  and above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness.  (15)  And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to the which also ye were called in one body; and be ye thankful.  (16)  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto God.  (17)  And whatsoever ye do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

His word fills us richly in all wisdom so that we may teach and admonish one another, praising God and singing our joy and thanksgiving unto Him.
