Peace of God

The Lord admonishes us to seek peace in the fear of the Lord.  Let go of the constant striving and let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.  Jesus went before us to guide our feet into the way of peace.  Our feet are a picture of our understanding, it is the way we walk.

Jesus was born on earth to bring peace among men.  We can let the peace Jesus gives us to set us free from fear and anxiety.  In Jesus we have peace no matter what tribulation or situation we are faced with in the world.

The good news that we preach is the peace that comes from being reconciled with God.  It is the blood of Jesus that justifies us, reconciles us to God and brings us peace.  In the kingdom of God the Holy Spirit brings us righteousness, peace and joy.

The peace that God gives us is deeper than our thoughts and understanding.  When we search for wisdom and get understanding She shows us the ways of pleasantness and the paths of peace.  When we trust in the Lord and keep our mind on Him, he keeps us in perfect peace.  We have the mind of the Spirit, living in it brings life and peace.

Psa 34:11-15 RV  Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.  (12)  What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?  (13)  Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.  (14)  Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.  (15)  The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

Luk 2:10-14 RV  And the angel said unto them, Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all the people:  (11)  for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  (12)  And this is the sign unto you; Ye shall find a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, and lying in a manger.  (13)  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,  (14)  Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men in whom he is well pleased.

Jesus was born on earth to bring peace among men.
