For this is the kingdom of heaven that we have sanctified Christ in our hearts as Lord. He promised to dwell in us and be our God and we shall be His people.

The truth Richard has shared in this blog needs to be considered by every believer for, we are living in a time that we must ask ourselves where our allegiance lies. With God or with man? When we accepted Christ did we accept His kingdom, commit ourselves to His government, make our citizenship with Him and His family? Or, are we still hanging on to our nationalities, societies, and traditions. Are our minds given to the governments of men and do we support them over Christ? Those are hard questions yet, isn’t that what the early believers had to address? They did that, and more. They were all Jews and they left their Judaism behind. They left their traditions behind. They obeyed God rather than men and made their home with Yeshua. The fact that a person leaves their birth citizenship and becomes a citizen of heaven once receiving the Holy Spirit was taught by Jesus to His disciples. “And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.” (Matt 19:29) Abraham looked for the city of God, not of man. “For he (Abraham) waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” (Hebrews 11:10) We live in a day which we need to make a decision on who our inheritance is with. Where our citizenship lies and who our mother is. “But the Jerusalem ABOVE is free, which is the mother of us all.” (Gal 4:26) ” “Then I, John, say the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Rev 21:2)
We need to reckon ourselves as sojourners on earth, children of the promise, participants in Abraham’s inheritance, children of the Al mighty God, citizens of His kingdom and make our abode with Him to be apart of His chosen city, the New Jerusalem. Always remembering, it’s not of this earth. Amen!
